Tessera Studio builds on more than 20 years of visual and material exploration through design and spatial art.

Each work is built through tile-by-tile process, using fragments sourced from vintage art prints and antique book illustrations. Through recomposition, these fragments form autonomous images that balance abstraction, recognisability and visual depth.

Tessera Studio is based at De Buitenschool in Glimmen, a former school building from 1953 now functioning as a shared cultural living- and workspace.

The studio produces autonomous works as well as collaborative projects, engaging with galleries, architects and cultural partners. Across contexts, the focus remains the same: creating visual works that carry their own presence and invite sustained looking. The art of looking twice.
